The Sticky Wicket Swing Bands.

For Swing Dances, Theatre Shows, and Dances

And Most of All For Entertainment

Sticky Wicket Britain’s leading Swing drummer has been a noted member of the music world for many years.

He started playing the drums in the seventies as a youngster, following a crush on drumming as a boy.

Sticky has done it all over his career. An early interest in rock led to a stint with Steve Marriott, then The Steve Gibbons band, followed by Lonnie Donegan. He then had two stints with the legendary Chris Barber Band.

In the early 00s Sticky’s interest in Swing music came to the fore and he established his

A fourteen piece swing orchestra producing that full 1940s big band sound. The band also features a woman singer.

Amongst other venues the band has played at Radio 2 Swingtime.

BBC2 We’ll Meet Again

The Savoy Ball in London

Althorp House for the Spencer family.

The nine piece band pays the same repertoire just as well as the big band but in a slightly smaller less expensive form.

“Sticky Wicket exceeded all our expectations. They were exceptionally helpful and accommodating and did a great job glossing over our own organisational shortcomings. In essence, the music was fantastic and the entire band was nothing less than totally professional in every aspect of their involvement with the evening. There is talk of us running another show next year. If we do then Sticky Wicket is already at the top of our list. Thanks for helping us out.”
