Project Description

Michael Law’s Piccadilly Dance Orchestra
With Star Guest Lance Ellington
Grand Thirtieth Anniversary Shows

Michael Law’s Piccadilly Dance Orchestra celebrates its 30th Anniversary in 2018. To celebrate the occasion we are joining forces with Strictly Come Dancing singer Lance Ellington.

Lance has a real show business pedigree being the son of Ray Ellington of Goon Show fame. Lance started his career by winning the New Faces television talent show, followed by a tour with Johnny Mathis. Since then he has worked with many of the greatest names in show business, as a session singer, and leading performer in his own right.

Michael Law’s and Lance Ellington make a great team to produce the music of Cole Porter’s High Society featuring the famous songs from the show “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire, Well Did You Ever? I Love You Samantha, and True Love.”

The combination of Lance singing the Sinatra songs, Michael singing the Bing Crosby songs. Fronting the smooth high quality orchestra makes a winning combination.

An evening of amusing high quality music, and entertainment.

The Piccadilly Dance Orchestra is as its name implies a celebrated dance band, with past residencies at The Ritz, The Savoy, and appearances on Len Goodman’s BBC4 television shows. We can add Lance Ellington to our shows to bring an extra dimension from the singer from Strictly. For a really special dance or ball this is a winning combination.
